Founded in Boston by Henry Lee Higginson as a BSO offshoot, the Boston Pops became a popular concert orchestra. Long led by Arthur Fiedler, later by John Williams and Keith Lockhart, it’s known for Esplanade July 4 concerts and WGBH’s Evening with Pops.

Cirque de la Symphonie

Cirque de la Symphonie is an American touring circus troupe based in Athens, Georgia, formed in 2005 by William H. Allen and Alexander Streltsov. The production is designed to bring the magic of cirque to the music hall, featuring a troupe of aerialists, acrobats, contortionists, jugglers, and strongmen whose performances are choreographed to live orchestral music.
