LineUp

Founded in 1881, the Boston Symphony Orchestra, supported by banker Henry Lee Higginson, is a pillar of U.S. orchestral culture. Its legendary recordings, especially on RCA Victor, benefit from Boston's Symphony Hall acoustics. Known for premieres of works by Stravinsky and Bartók, it has been led by conductors Monteux, Koussevitsky, and Ozawa. It also has ties with Tanglewood Music Festival and contributed to film scores like Spielberg's "Schindler's List" and "Saving Private Ryan" with John Williams.
Anton Bruckner, born in Ansfelden, Austria, was a Romantic composer and organist celebrated for his monumental "cathedrals of sound" symphonies, including Nos. 4, 7, 8, and 9. His unique style features rich harmonic language and profound spiritual depth, evident in his symphonic and sacred music. His enduring legacy includes numerous recordings of his works, with some receiving accolades like a 2025 Grammy Award.
Esa-Pekka Salonen, born in Finland, is known for innovating 21st-century classical music. Principal Conductor of the Philharmonia Orchestra, he founded the Baltic Sea Festival and won the Grawemeyer Award for his Violin Concerto. Salonen collaborates with Yo-Yo Ma and Yefim Bronfman and is acclaimed for combining technical virtuosity with rhythmic and melodic innovations. He has also pioneered virtual-reality music presentations and interactive apps.
