Formed in LA in 1979 by former Black Flag vocalist Keith Morris and guitarist Greg Hetson, Circle Jerks became a leading force in hardcore punk. Known for their relentless sound and landmark album Group Sex, the band released six studio albums and appeared in the cult films Decline of Western Civilization and Repo Man.

Negative Approach

Formed in Detroit in 1981, hardcore punk band Negative Approach featured vocalist John Brannon, drummer OP Moore, and guitarists Rob and Graham McCulloch. Known for their extreme, aggressive sound, they released their self-titled EP in 1982 and the album Tied Down in 1983 before disbanding in 1985.

Gorilla Biscuits

Hardcore icons Gorilla Biscuits, from NYC, shaped the late '80s straight-edge scene with an inclusive approach. Known for "Start Today," they featured Anthony Civarelli ("Civ"), Arthur Smilios, Luke Abbey, and Walter Schreifels. They disbanded in 1992, but their influence remains.
