New Jersey technical death metal quintet Cognitive released their fifth full-length, Abhorrence, following 2021’s Malevolent Thoughts of a Hastened Extinction. Known for unrelenting riffs and thoughtful, devastating lyrics, they began writing Abhorrence while touring.

Inoculation

Inoculation, a Cleveland, Ohio death metal band formed in 2011, crafts cosmic death metal with technicality and brutal vocals. Known for their alien-inspired sound and cosmic themes, they released the album Actuality in 2025 and EPs like Live in Cleveland and Earthbound in 2026. Signed to Maggot Stomp, they have toured with various bands, delivering a blend of subtle technicality and old-school brutality.

Cytotoxin

German death metal band Cytotoxin, formed in 2010, is known for intense, technical riffs inspired by the Chernobyl disaster. Their albums Plutonium Heaven and Gammageddon solidified their status in the tech death scene. They've toured Europe extensively and signed with Unique Leader Records after Radiophobia.
