Jimmie Dale Gilmore

West Texas singer/songwriter from Tulia, later based in Lubbock and Austin. A Flatlanders founder (1972 debut; song “Dallas”), he blends folk and country. Solo debut Fair and Square (1988); acclaimed After Awhile (1991). Collaborated with Dave Alvin on Downey to Lubbock (2018).
