Davell Crawford, born in New Orleans, Louisiana, is a celebrated pianist, vocalist, composer, and arranger, affectionately known as the Piano Prince of New Orleans. A musical prodigy, he began playing piano at the age of two and performed professionally by seven. As the grandson of James Sugar Boy Crawford, famed for the Riko Iko, Davell inherited a rich musical legacy. His style seamlessly blends gospel, jazz, blues, funk, and soul, drawing inspiration from artists like Fats Domino, Sarah Vaughan, and Patsy Cline.

Crawford has graced stages worldwide, captivating audiences with his dynamic performances that honor New Orleans' storied piano tradition. His 1995 debut album, Let Them Talk, showcased his gospel and R&B roots, while his 2024 release, Alone Together: The Music of Roberta Flack, pays homage to his godmother, reflecting her influence on him.

Kind Reminder: Snug Harbor does NOT serve the full menu inside the Music Room. We do offer cheese and charcuterie tray options. In order to preserve the integrity, quiet, and focus of our world-class intimate concerts, only the charcuterie, cocktails, and soft drinks are available for table service inside the Music Room. However, we encourage you to arrive at least 90 minutes prior to your showtime in order to enjoy full, relaxing dinner service in the Dining Room right next door, before getting seated in the Music Room for your ticketed showtime.

Age Requirements and Policies

This event is 13 and over. Any ticket holder unable to present valid identification indicating that they are at least 13 years of age will not be admitted to this event, and will not be eligible for a refund. All concert ticket sales are final and non-refundable. All patrons must have valid government-issued Photo ID available upon entry. All teenage patrons must be ticketed like adults, and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times while inside the jazz club. All patrons must be aged 13 or older. Sorry, no children under 13 are permitted.

Venue Policies

Snug Harbor Jazz Bistro has a STRICT No Cell Phones, No Cameras Policy at all times during all showtimes inside the music room. Violation of this policy while inside the venue may result in removal from the club without ticket refunds. There is NO SMOKING allowed anywhere inside the building, and there are NO PETS ALLOWED at any time. Legitimate Service Dogs must be wearing full credentials at all times upon entry, and the owner must have licensing papers available upon staff request for service dogs.
