LineUp

The Slow Readers Club are a Manchester-formed British indie band (2009) known for post-punk energy, brooding synths and atmospheric guitars. Albums include Build A Tower (UK Top 20), The Joy of the Return (Top 10) and Out of a Dream (No.11).
Sounds of the City is an annual series of high-profile outdoor concerts held at Castlefield Bowl in Manchester. The series has been running for over 15 years, organized by Manchester-based promoters SJM Concerts. Castlefield Bowl is part of an urban heritage site—the world's first industrial heritage park. To accommodate larger crowds, designers once famously built a 22-meter "floating" stage over a spur of the Bridgewater Canal to maximize space and sightlines.
Elbow, a British band formed in the '90s in Bury, is known for their cinematic sound. Their debut album, "Asleep in the Back," came out in 2001. Garnering wide acclaim, their fourth album, "The Seldom Seen Kid," won the 2008 Mercury Prize. They're celebrated for chart-toppers like "The Take Off and Landing of Everything" and "Little Fictions," have won Brit and Ivor Novello awards, and performed in the 2012 London Olympics. The band's core members include Guy Garvey and Craig Potter.
