San Francisco post-hardcore punk band Flipper broke out in 1982 with the seven-minute single "Sex Bomb" and its crushingly loud, slowed-down sound. Their debut Album -- Generic Flipper featured "Sex Bomb." They split in 1987 after singer Will Shatter died.
