Void, formed in 1980 in Columbia, Maryland, fused hardcore punk and heavy metal and earned cult status in D.C. hardcore. First non-D.C. band on Dischord, they released the Condensed Flesh demo and appeared on Flex Your Head before splitting in 1983.

Heathen

Heathen is a thrash metal band formed in 1984 in San Francisco’s Bay Area, known for David White’s distinctive vocals and a heavy, melodic style. Albums include Breaking the Silence, Victims of Deception, and Bleed the World: Live.

Forbidden

Bay Area metal veterans Forbidden returned with their first album in 16 years via BLKIIBLK Records, featuring 12 progressive songs and the studio debut of vocalist Norman Skinner. Founding guitarist Craig Locicero leads alongside drummer Chris Kontos.
