Detroit-born contemporary gospel praise & worship leader Fred Hammond has been active since the mid-'80s. He sang and played bass with the Winans, joined Commissioned, and launched a solo career in 1991. His albums and Radical for Christ releases won Dove and Stellar awards.

Marvin Sapp

Born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan, gospel singer and pastor Marvin Sapp rose with Commissioned before going solo in 1996. Known for a deep voice blending R&B and smooth jazz, he earned multiple Dove and BET awards and 11 Grammy nominations.
