Gin Blossoms and Sugar Ray

Formed in 1987 in Tempe, Arizona, alternative rock band Gin Blossoms are best known for their 1992 major-label debut, New Miserable Experience, and hit singles like Hey Jealousy and Found Out About You. Featuring a jangling 1980s-inspired sound, the group achieved major chart success in the mid-1990s before disbanding briefly and later reuniting to tour and record new music.

Formed in Newport Beach, California, Sugar Ray evolved from a nu-metal band into a defining Southern Californian pop-rock outfit led by singer Mark McGrath and guitarist Rodney Sheppard. Their 1997 breakthrough album Floored featured the massive reggae-infused hit Fly. The triple-platinum follow-up 14:59 spawned the chart-topping singles Every Morning and Someday, cementing their sunny pop sound.
