Edinburgh glam-punk cult band (Rezillos/Revillos) with campy girl-group flair; hits “I Can’t Stand My Baby” & UK Top 20 “Top of the Pops”; Sire signees.
Formed in Guildford, Surrey, the Stranglers fused punk/garage rock with dark, keyboard-led pop; hits include “Golden Brown,” “Peaches” and “Always the Sun.”
Skids, formed in Dunfermline, Scotland, in 1977, are known for their art-punk style. Key members included vocalist Richard Jobson and guitarist Stuart Adamson. They gained fame with hits like "Into the Valley" and "Masquerade." Produced by Bill Nelson, their second album Days in Europa was well-received. After lineup changes and disbandment, they reunited in 2007 for tribute shows. The original lineup re-formed for a 2017 tour, releasing the album Burning Cities in 2018.
Formed in Derry (1976), The Undertones’ punchy punk-pop spawned “Teenage Kicks” (a John Peel fave) plus hits “My Perfect Cousin” & more; toured with The Clash.
Manchester-born punk-pop pioneers Buzzcocks: Pete Shelley & Steve Diggle’s hooky, biting love songs. DIY landmark EP Spiral Scratch; hits “Orgasm Addict,” “What Do I Get?”
Frank Carter, from Hemel Hempstead, UK, is a dynamic punk and alternative rock musician. He fronted Gallows and Pure Love, now leading Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes. Known for his ferocious live presence and powerful vocals, notable albums include "Blossom," "Modern Ruin," and "End of Suffering." Popular songs include "Lullaby" and "I Hate You." He has collaborated with artists like Joe Talbot and Tom Morello.
