Hedwig Mollestad Thomassen, born in Ålesund, Norway, is a guitarist known for her blend of hard rock and jazz. Leading her trio with Ellen Brekken and Ivar Joe Bjørnstad, she has released acclaimed albums like "All of Them Witches" and "Black Stabat Mater." She has collaborated with jazz artists like Jon Eberson and bands like the Trondheim Jazz Orchestra. Awarded Young Jazz Talent at Molde Jazz Festival, she draws influence from Black Sabbath and Sonny Sharrock. Her dynamic work includes "Ekhidna," featuring a quintet, and "Tempest Revisited," a lyrical exploration inspired by Arne Nordheim.
