Hiromi

Hiromi

Over more than two decades as a recording artist, Japanese pianist and composer Hiromi has established herself as one of the most dynamic and explosive live performers in modern music. Fusing elements of jazz, classical and rock, her genre-defying sound eclipses traditional boundaries to take composition and improvisation to soaring new heights. First mentored by legendary jazz pianist Ahmad Jamal and former Berklee professor Richard Evans, Hiromi debuted in 2003 with the gold-certified Another Mind. Since then, her extraordinary trajectory has included winning a GRAMMY® Award alongside fusion titan Stanley Clarke, composing the award-winning score for the animated film Blue Giant and representing her native Japan at the Tokyo Summer Olympics. From her acclaimed Trio Project featuring Anthony Jackson and Simon Phillips to her latest dynamic group, Hiromi's Sonicwonder, Hiromi remains a dazzling global ambassador for musical innovation.
