LineUp

Sugarhill Gang, pioneers from New York, launched hip-hop with "Rapper's Delight" in 1979, selling over 8 million copies. Known for hits like "8th Wonder" and "Apache," they faded by mid-80s but returned in 1999.
Miami-born Vanilla Ice became famous with his 1990 hit "Ice Ice Baby," sampling Queen's "Under Pressure." His album "To the Extreme" topped charts for 16 weeks. Despite a blockbuster start, subsequent albums like "Mind Blowin'," "Hard to Swallow," and "Bipolar" struggled.
Rob Base, born Robert Ginyard in Harlem, is best known for the hip-hop classic "It Takes Two" with DJ E-Z Rock. The duo's album went platinum and Spin named it Single of the Year. After releasing a solo album, Base reunited with E-Z Rock for Break of Dawn in 1994. E-Z Rock passed away in 2014 and was honored at the Hip Hop Hall of Fame.
Rapper Young MC, born Marvin Young, rose to fame with hits like "Bust a Move" and "Wild Thing." His debut album, "Stone Cold Rhymin'," went platinum, and he won a Grammy for Best Rap Performance. Known for his humorous and clever lyrics, he collaborated with Tone-Loc and faced challenges with label Delicious Vinyl. He later explored personal responsibility themes on "Brainstorm." Young continued releasing independent albums, appeared in the film "Up in the Air," and remained active in the music scene.
All-4-One, a celebrated California-based R&B group, is famed for "I Swear," which topped the Billboard Hot 100 for 11 weeks. Known for hits like "I Can Love You Like That," they've won Grammy and American Music Awards, selling over 22 million records globally.
