Israeli-born pianist Inon Barnatan, based in NYC, is known for Schubert, Beethoven, and contemporary works. He often collaborates with cellist Alisa Weilerstein and won the Avery Fisher Career Grant.
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791) was an Austrian composer of the Classical period. A child prodigy, he created over 600 works across symphonies, operas, and concertos. His music is celebrated for its clarity, balance, and melodic beauty, profoundly influencing Western music and remaining widely performed today.
Jonathan Cohen, an English cellist, conductor, and keyboardist from Manchester, is celebrated for his expertise in early music, Baroque opera, and Classical repertoire. He founded the acclaimed ensemble Arcangelo and co-founded the London Haydn Quartet. Known for historically informed performances and a passion for chamber music, he has garnered Gramophone Awards and Grammy nominations for recordings like "Arias for Guadagni" and "Buxtehude's Trio Sonatas". He has held artistic leadership roles with Les Violons du Roy and the Handel and Haydn Society.
Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750), born in Eisenach, Germany, was a pivotal Baroque composer. Renowned for his mastery of counterpoint and polyphony, he enriched German styles with Italian and French influences. His prolific output includes iconic works like the Brandenburg Concertos, The Well-Tempered Clavier, Mass in B Minor, and Toccata and Fugue in D Minor. Bach is celebrated as one of history's greatest composers, whose genius continues to inspire.
