Iruka, born Toshie Kanbe in Nakano, Tokyo, is a cherished Japanese folk and pop singer-songwriter. Debuting in 1970, she is widely recognized for her enduring hit song "Nagori Yuki". Known for her distinctive velvety vocals, Iruka has released many albums and singles, showcasing a blend of folk, pop, and urban contemporary styles. She is also a respected picture book writer and a goodwill ambassador.
