Jacqui Naylor

Jacqui Naylor is a San Francisco-based jazz vocalist and songwriter renowned for her genre-blending style that fuses jazz, folk, pop, and soul. Raised in Saratoga, California, she developed an early appreciation for vintage music through her parents' collection of antique automated instruments and jazz records. After earning a degree in marketing from San Francisco State University, she transitioned from a career in fashion marketing to pursue music full-time. Naylor studied vocal jazz with Faith Winthrop and gained performance experience as a soloist with the Sacred Heart Gospel Choir.

Discography

Since releasing her self-titled debut album in 1999, Naylor has produced a diverse discography that includes Shelter (2003), The Long Game (2021), and her latest, Treasures of the Heart (2025). She is particularly known for her acoustic smashing technique, which creatively combines lyrics and melodies from different songs into cohesive arrangements.

Performances and Collaborations

Naylor has performed at esteemed venues such as the Blue Note in New York City and Yoshis in San Francisco, and has toured extensively across the U.S., Europe, and Asia. Her collaborations often feature her husband, pianist and arranger Art Khu, whose contributions have been integral to her innovative sound.

Important Reminders

Kind Reminder: Snug Harbor does NOT serve the full menu inside the Music Room. We do offer cheese and charcuterie tray options. In order to preserve the integrity, quiet, and focus of our world-class intimate concerts, only the charcuterie, cocktails, and soft drinks are available for table service inside the Music Room. However, we encourage you to arrive at least 90 minutes prior to your showtime in order to enjoy full, relaxing dinner service in the Dining Room right next door, before getting seated in the Music Room for your ticketed showtime.

Age Restrictions and Policies

This event is 13 and over. Any ticket holder unable to present valid identification indicating that they are at least 13 years of age will not be admitted to this event and will not be eligible for a refund. All concert ticket sales are final and non-refundable. All patrons must have valid government-issued Photo ID available upon entry. All teenage patrons must be ticketed like adults and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times while inside the jazz club. All patrons must be aged 13 or older. Sorry, no children under 13 are permitted.

Venue Policies

Snug Harbor Jazz Bistro has a STRICT No Cell Phones, No Cameras Policy at all times during all showtimes inside the music room. Violation of this policy while inside the venue may result in removal from the club without ticket refunds. There is NO SMOKING allowed anywhere inside the building, and there are NO PETS ALLOWED at any time. Legitimate Service Dogs must be wearing full credentials at all times upon entry, and owners must have licensing papers available upon staff request for service dogs. Sorry, no emotional support pets are allowed inside at any time. Please see the Refund Policy section for details on exceptions for Ticket Transfers. Thank You.
