The Japanese House, the project of Bain, broke out in 2015. Known for elevated pop music, Bain released the album In the End It Always Does, featuring the singles Sad To Breathe and Boyhood, which was inspired by moving to Margate and past relationships.

Raised in England, Hynes began as a teenage punk in UK band Test Icicles, then released two orchestral acoustic pop albums as Lightspeed Champion. As Blood Orange, he debuted with Coastal Grooves (2011) and earned acclaim for Freetown Sound (2016).

Lorde
