Chilean band Los Prisioneros, formed by Jorge González, Claudio Narea, and Miguel Tapia, rose to fame in the 1980s with hits like "La Voz De Los '80s" and "Tren Al Sur." Their music, resonating strongly in Latin rock, achieved double platinum status in Chile with "Pateando Piedras." They made history with the song "We Are Sudamerican Rockers," as its video was MTV Latino's first broadcast. Known for their influential sound, they disbanded after a final show in 1991.
