Loverboy, formed in 1979 in Calgary, became a top rock band of the 1980s with hits like "Working for the Weekend." Known for energetic rock and pop hooks, they achieved multi-platinum status, won 6 Juno Awards, and recorded "Almost Paradise" with Ann Wilson. Despite disbanding in 1988, they reunited in the '90s, continuing to tour and releasing new music.
