He formed the Blues Survivors and worked with Sue Foley; notable albums include "Feel Like Rockin'" and "Heart of Chicago." Hummel played major U.S. blues festivals, judged the Hohner Harmonica World Championships, and collaborated with Chicago musicians like Willie "Big Eyes" Smith.

Anson Funderburgh
