Detroit-born pop classicist Marshall Crenshaw broke out with his 1982 debut and Top 40 single "Someday, Someway." He played Buddy Holly in La Bamba and co-wrote Gin Blossoms’ Top 10 hit "Til I Hear It from You."

New Jersey college rock band led by singer/songwriter Pat DiNizio. Known for British Invasion pop influences and heavy guitars. Scored Top 40 hits “A Girl Like You” and “Too Much Passion”; album 11 went gold. Inducted into the New Jersey Hall of Fame (2019).
