Schumann-Haus Leipzig is a cultural site and museum in Leipzig, Germany, located in the former home of composer Robert Schumann and pianist Clara Schumann. The couple lived here during the first four years of their marriage from 1840 to 1844, a period during which Robert composed his celebrated Spring Symphony. Today, the classicist building houses a permanent exhibition dedicated to their life and music, alongside a concert hall and a primary school.

German pianist Martin Stadtfeld, born in Koblenz and raised in Gackenbach, is known for Bach on modern piano. A prodigy, he won the Nikolai Rubinstein Competition (1997) and the International Bach Competition, signed to Sony Classical (2003), and recorded Bach’s Goldberg Variations (2005).
