Mitch Woods Happy Hour Concert Series

Featuring Mitch Woods​ Born in Brooklyn in 1951, Mitch Woods is an American boogie-woogie, jump blues, and jazz pianist and singer. His musical journey began at age eight when he was captivated by boogie-woogie piano, leading him to start classical piano lessons at eleven. By his mid-teens, he was forming bands in Greenwich Village. In 1970, Woods moved to San Francisco, where he formed Mitch Woods and His Rocket 88s in 1980, reviving the jump blues style of the 1940s and 1950s. The band released their debut album, Steady Date, in 1984, followed by several others, including Mr. Boogies Back in Town and Solid Gold Cadillac. Woods has performed at major festivals worldwide and collaborated with legends like John Lee Hooker and James Cotton. His music, which he terms rock-a-boogie, blends New Orleans rhythm and blues with his own contemporary flair.

You can see these shows every Wednesday in person or by streaming on the Snug Harbor Facebook page. This is a free performance with no ticketing. Seating is on a first come-first served basis. Restaurant is Open 5 pm - 11 pm for dinner after the show.

Age Restrictions and Admission Policy

This event is for ages 13 and over. Any ticket holder unable to present valid identification indicating that they are at least 13 years of age will not be admitted to this event and will not be eligible for a refund. All concert ticket sales are final and non-refundable. All patrons must have valid government-issued Photo ID available upon entry. All teenage patrons must be ticketed like adults, and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times while inside the jazz club. All patrons must be aged 13 or older. Sorry, no children under 13 are permitted.

Venue Policies

• Snug Harbor Jazz Bistro has a STRICT No Cell Phones, No Cameras Policy at all times during all showtimes inside the music room. Violation of this policy while inside the venue may result in removal from the club without ticket refunds.
• There is NO SMOKING allowed anywhere inside the building, and there are NO PETS ALLOWED at any time. Legitimate Service Dogs must be wearing full credentials at all times upon entry, and owner must have licensing papers available upon staff request for service dogs. Sorry, no emotional support pets are allowed inside at any time.
