Formed in Melbourne in 1985, Australian rock band Boom Crash Opera broke out via the pub rock circuit. Their 1987 self-titled debut spawned five hit singles, including No. 1 Great Wall. Later releases include These Here Are Crazy Times and Fabulous Beast.

Models

Models, formed in 1978 in Melbourne, were pioneers of post-punk and new wave in Australia. Known for hits like "Barbados" and "Out of Mind Out of Sight," they reached number two and one on Australian charts, respectively. Despite lineup changes, they supported the Police and signed with A&M Records.
