Monica, born in College Park, Georgia, debuted with the multi-platinum "Miss Thang" in 1995, known for her Southern grit and maturity. In 1998, she released "The Boy Is Mine" with Brandy, earning a Grammy. Monica's hits include "So Gone" and "Everything to Me," collaborating with artists like Missy Elliott and Dallas Austin. A key figure in the Atlanta music scene, she transitioned to an independent artist by 2020, maintaining a vast catalog blending traditional R&B and contemporary styles.
