Nnenna Freelon, 7-time Grammy Award nominee, returns to the Regattabar to celebrate her new recording Beneath The Skin (Origin Records). On this project, Freelon steps away from the standards of the American Songbook, which she has so masterfully interpreted throughout her career, and instead turns her gaze inward. These heart-spoken songs emerged in curiosity and love to heal life's broken places - ones that are both personal and universal. Freelon shares, "I'm taking a lesson from my garden from the flower that trusts itself to be enough."
