Os Mutantes, a Brazilian psychedelic band, was formed by the Baptista brothers and Rita Lee. Known for musical experimentation and Tropicalia ties, they backed Gilberto Gil. They avoided reunion requests, even from Kurt Cobain, until reuniting in 2006.
