LineUp

Jesse Detor, from Minneapolis and based in Boston, creates lyric-packed girlrock anthems blending 90s rock with indie themes, inspired by Hole and Olivia Rodrigo.
Ringpop emerged from Boston's vibrant music scene, self-recording and producing their debut album "Friend Crush" while at Berklee. Notable for its raw portrayal of transitioning from youth to adulthood, the record features singles like "Do I Look Like Andrew Garfield?" and showcases a unique blend of emotional honesty and lightheartedness. Mentored by Brett Romnes, this project marks a significant milestone in their musical journey.

Berklee Popular Music Institute Showcase

THIS EVENT IS 18+ WITH A VALID I.D. DOORS: 6:30 PM SHOW: 7:00 PM

The Berklee Popular Music Institute (BPMI) will host its 23rd annual showcase, featuring seven artists handpicked by its 2025 student cohort, on Friday, April 25, at Brighton Music Hall. In just a few months, these artists will be performing on the stages of major music festivals alongside some of the world's most esteemed artists.

BPMI Live, the institute's three-semester experiential education program, provides students with the opportunity to extend their skills beyond the classroom and into the live music industry. Representing genres ranging from hip-hop and pop-punk to hard rock and country, these artists have displayed extraordinary talent, securing spots at Governors Ball, Bourbon & Beyond, Inkcarceration, The Great Escape UK, and other major festivals to be announced soon.

This year's showcase is sponsored by Citizens Live and presented in partnership with Live Nation New England.
