They create raw, experimental soundscapes, blending elements of punk, jazz, and industrial noise. Known for incendiary live shows and Tickle's unique saxophone screams, their albums include "The Real Work" (featuring Nick Cave) and "Crime in Australia." They have earned Australian Music Prize nominations and awards for instrumental performance.

No-good Sydney noise merchants Party Dozen (Jonathan Boulet and Kirsty Tickle) are celebrating the release of their new album 21 Bum Salute with a handful of Australian shows.

Since 2024's Crime In Australia, the duo have honed their craft touring the US and Europe with Amyl & The Sniffers and locally with King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, as well as playing a career-highpoint slot at Meredith. Featuring singles "Mad Rooter", "Special Unit" and new one "Euro Stomper", 21 Bum Salute was written, recorded, performed, mixed and mastered by the group themselves and sees Party Dozen continue their exploration and evolution of psych-tinged noise, burst of doom and no-wave dancefloor.

“On this album we’ve got it down to the absolute best part of the idea for you,” says Tickle. “We’ve trimmed the fat.”

Party Dozen have gained a reputation as one of Australia's most explosive live acts since forming in 2017 and have shared stages with the likes of Spiritualized, Tropical Fuck Storm and Viagra Boys. A lot more accessible than it looks in writing, a Party Dozen show is hectic, heavy and very loud. And very, very fun.
