The Colorado Symphony is an American symphony orchestra based in Denver, Colorado, established in 1989 as the successor to the Denver Symphony Orchestra. Performing primarily at Boettcher Concert Hall and recognized as the region's only full-time professional orchestra, the ensemble features eighty full-time musicians and presents over 150 concerts annually, ranging from classical masterworks to pop collaborations and summer shows at Red Rocks Amphitheatre.
Peter Oundjian is a Canadian violinist and conductor born in Toronto. He began his career as the first violinist of the renowned Tokyo String Quartet, performing with them for 14 years until a hand injury forced him to transition to conducting in 1995. He has since enjoyed a distinguished conducting career, notably serving as the music director of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra and the Colorado Symphony, and has taught at the Yale School of Music since 1981.

About Boettcher Hall

"Boettcher Concert Hall, a 2,679-capacity symphony hall within the Denver Performing Arts Complex, made history as the nation's first "in the round" concert venue upon its 1978 opening. Its distinctive circular architecture places 80% of the audience within 65 feet of the stage, creating an intimate experience for performances by the Colorado Symphony and diverse touring artists, further enhanced by its unique suspended acoustic canopy.
