He was named the Funniest Comic in Texas in 2019 and won the New York International Latino Film Festival Stand-Up competition in 2021. Barbosa's specials include "Cowabunga" on Netflix and "Planet Bosa" on Hulu. He was recognized as one of Variety's 10 Comics to Watch.
