Born in the Soviet Union, Regina Spektor moved to NYC in 1989, continued her classical piano training, and studied composition at SUNY Purchase. Known for jazz and blues-influenced pop, her breakthrough came with the gold-certified "Begin to Hope" in 2006, featuring hits like "Fidelity." Albums "Far" and "What We Saw From the Cheap Seats" both debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200. Spektor's music appears in shows like "Orange Is The New Black" and films like "(500) Days of Summer."
