Chicago-born Roger McGuinn, frontman of the Byrds, pioneered folk-rock with his 12-string Rickenbacker. He collaborated with iconic artists and influenced the Beatles, Tom Petty, and R.E.M. Known for hits like "Mr. Tambourine Man," he led the Byrds to Hall of Fame status, transitioning into country-rock and solo projects. Collaborations include Dylan's Rolling Thunder Revue.
