Scottish band Nazareth, formed in Dunfermline in 1968, hit it big with "Hair of the Dog" and "Love Hurts." Known for hard rock and power ballads, they found global success with their 1975 album *Hair of the Dog* and remained popular in Europe with consistent touring. Despite lineup changes, bassist Pete Agnew has been a constant presence. They've released 25 albums, celebrating 50 years with *Tattooed on My Brain*. Collaborations included Zal Cleminson and John Locke, and Dan McCafferty's iconic vocals left a lasting legacy.
Saxon, formed in Barnsley in 1975, are leaders of the NWOBHM movement with hits like "Wheels of Steel." They've sold over 23 million records worldwide.
Uriah Heep, a progressive rock pioneer from the UK, was founded in 1969 by David Byron and Mick Box. Known for hits like "Easy Livin'," their sound blends bluesy hard rock and heavy metal. Despite frequent lineup changes, Mick Box remained a constant. Collaborations included Ken Hensley and John Wetton. Celebrated albums include "Demons and Wizards." The band has maintained popularity internationally, releasing albums like "Chaos & Colour" in 2023. Noteworthy members include drummer Lee Kerslake and bassist Trevor Bolder.
