Formed in 1978 Birmingham, UK, G.B.H. (Charged G.B.H.) revitalized punk with heavy metal influences. Known for tracks like "City Baby Attacked by Rats," they inspired bands such as Metallica. Their street punk style won fans worldwide, boasting robust touring and steady releases.
The Anti-Nowhere League, a provocative U.K. punk band from Tunbridge Wells, formed in 1979. Known for their gritty biker style and controversial lyrics, their debut single "Streets of London" featured the notorious B-side "So What." They hit U.K. charts with "We Are...The League" and gained U.S. fame touring with U.K. Subs. Metallica covered "So What," sparking renewed interest and leading to a reunion. Known for intense live shows and evolving lineups, they continue to release albums like "The Road to Rampton" and "League Style."
Bar Stool Preachers, formed with their debut "Blatant Propaganda" in 2016, are known for energetic shows and a bold message. They've shared stages with The Slackers, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, and more.
Random Hand, hailing from the UK, is renowned for their intense ska-punk-metal sound. Known for relentless touring with bands like Less Than Jake, they’ve played at major festivals such as Reading and Leeds, and celebrated their 1000th show in 2011. The band was nominated for the AIM award for 'Hardest Working Band,' finishing second to Frank Turner. They’ve also recorded three sessions for BBC Radio 1.
The U.K. Subs, founded by Charlie Harper in 1976, are pivotal to the second wave of British punk, known for their aggressive, anthemic sound. Their debut, "Another Kind of Blues" (1979), and subsequent albums like "Brand New Age" established their commercial success. Despite frequent lineup changes, Harper maintained their energy. Influenced by early Clash, their style later embraced heavy metal. The band earned acclaim for live performances and notable works like "Crash Course." Their legacy spans over four decades, continuously resonating with punk fans across the globe.
Formed in late '70s East London, Cockney Rejects rose with a raw, working-class sound. Known for "I’m Forever Blowing Bubbles," they inspired bands like Rancid & returned in 2000, now led by Jeff Turner with Olga, JJ Kaos & Ray Dust as a punk supergroup.
Formed in Derry in 1976, The Undertones, known for hits like 'Teenage Kicks', toured with The Clash, released acclaimed LPs, and reconvened with Paul McLoone in 1999.
Riskee & The Ridicule, a Kent-based Grime Punk group, gained acclaim with their 2019 album "Body Bag Your Scene," noted for its intense themes and unique style.
