Shed Seven with Sounds of the City and The Lightning Seeds

Ian Broudie is the songwriter behind Lightning Seeds. His 1994 album Jollification sold a million copies and featured songs like Pure, The Life of Riley and Three Lions. See You in The Stars was written in Liverpool and his London home studio, with co-writes by Terry Hall and James Skelly.

Shed Seven are a band from York. In 2024 they scored two UK Number One albums, more than 30 years after their debut. Fronted by Rick Witter, they returned with the lead single Stand Together and a self-titled seventh studio album.

Sounds of the City is an annual series of high-profile outdoor concerts held at Castlefield Bowl in Manchester. The series has been running for over 15 years, organized by Manchester-based promoters SJM Concerts. Castlefield Bowl is part of an urban heritage site—the world's first industrial heritage park. To accommodate larger crowds, designers once famously built a 22-meter "floating" stage over a spur of the Bridgewater Canal to maximize space and sightlines.
