New York hardcore/crossover band formed in 1984, a CBGB Sunday matinee fixture. Known for 1989’s Just Can’t Hate Enough, blending punk bite with heavy metal. Later releases include Love Songs for the Unloved (1995) and Standing Up for Falling Down (2014).

The Take

NYHC vets Will Shepler, Craig Setari, and Scott Roberts formed The Take, blending punk, oi, and hardcore. Their debut album hit #1 in Berlin and earned critical acclaim.
