Known for albums like "Perfection of Desire" and "Mantra," they toured with bands like Earth Crisis and faced challenges, including a van accident. Initially linked to Cappo's earlier band, Youth of Today, and New York's Revelation Records, Shelter's music evolved from hardcore punk to more melodic styles. They signed with Roadrunner Records and collaborated with artists like J. Yeunger. Despite waning U.S. popularity, they remained influential in South America and Europe.
