Happy Hour Concert Series featuring Alejandro Canales Trio with Dylan Torrance and Simon Lott. Texas-born saxophonist Alejandro Canales has built an international career performing across jazz, Motown, R&B, classical, and rock. A versatile multi-instrumentalist, Canales also plays flute and clarinet and has toured extensively with Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruises. His performance credits include the Reno Jazz Orchestra, Soul Brass Band, Treme Brass Band, and Trombone Shorty, and he released his debut album, Bluish Hue.

New Orleans-based guitarist, educator, and content creator Dylan Torrance brings a diverse musical background spanning jazz, funk, Cuban music, bossa nova, and blues. He holds bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of New Orleans, where he studied with Steve Masakowski, Brian Seeger, and Hank Mackie. Torrance has performed with some of New Orleans' finest musicians, toured nationally, and continues to teach and perform throughout the city. Rounding out the trio is drummer Simon Lott, whose creative approach and dynamic musicianship make him a sought-after collaborator on the New Orleans jazz scene. Together, Canales, Torrance, and Lott deliver an evening of adventurous jazz, groove, and improvisation.

Snug Harbor Jazz Bistro presents live weekly concerts. You can see these shows every Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday in person or by streaming on the Snug Harbor Facebook page. This is a performance with no ticketing. Seating is on a first come-first served basis. Tips for the band are encouraged and go 100% to the musicians.

Event Policies

This event is 13 and over. Any attendee unable to present valid identification indicating that they are at least 13 years of age will not be admitted to this event. All patrons must have valid government-issued Photo ID available upon entry. All teenage patrons must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times while inside the jazz club. All patrons must be aged 13 or older. Sorry, no children under 13 are permitted.

Snug Harbor Jazz Bistro has a STRICT No Cell Phones, No Cameras Policy at all times during all showtimes inside the music room. Violation of this policy while inside the venue may result in removal from the club. There is NO SMOKING allowed anywhere inside the building, and there are NO PETS ALLOWED at anytime. Legitimate Service Dogs must be wearing full credentials at all times upon entry, and owner must have licensing papers available upon staff request for service dogs. Sorry, no emotional support pets are allowed inside at any time.
