Snot formed in Santa Barbara in 1995. The hardcore metal band signed to Geffen in 1996 and released debut album Get Some (1997). Singer Lynn Strait died in a 1998 car accident; tribute album Straight Up featured Korn’s Jonathan Davis and Fred Durst.
