Tweedy's production work spans Low, Richard Thompson, and Pops Staples, enhancing his reputation as a versatile musician and producer.
Iris DeMent, born in the U.S., is a celebrated singer-songwriter known for her unique voice and melodies rooted in hymns and gospel. Her debut, Infamous Angel, is among Rolling Stone's "greatest country albums." DeMent's albums My Life and The Way I Should were GRAMMY-nominated, and she founded her own label in 2004. Notable works include Lifeline and Sing The Delta, with NPR calling her one of the great voices in contemporary music. The Boston Globe praised her for her unvarnished grace, and The Trackless Woods was a powerful triumph. Her influence spans film, TV, and collaborations.
Mary Halvorson, born in Massachusetts, is a jazz guitarist known for her innovative style. Her last three records were named Jazz Album of the Year by DownBeat. She was also named Guitarist of the Year in 2023 and 2024. Her trio debut was Dragon's Head (2008), later expanding to various larger ensembles. She released critically acclaimed albums, collaborating with artists like John Hébert, Ches Smith, and Susan Alcorn. Her ensemble Code Girl released two albums and features Amirtha Kidambi and Adam O'Farrill.
