Heather Small, born in the late 80s, rose to fame with M People, known for hits like "Moving on Up." They won multiple Brit Awards and a Mercury Prize. Heather's solo work includes "Proud," anthem for iconic events like the 2012 Olympics. She tours and appears on TV shows like "Strictly Come Dancing."
Soul II Soul, led by Jazzie B, emerged from London in the late '80s blending hip-hop, house, and R&B. Known for hits "Keep On Movin'" and "Back to Life," the group achieved Grammy wins, international acclaim, and U.K. chart success. Featuring rotating vocalists like Caron Wheeler, they released several successful albums and singles throughout the '90s. Despite disbanding by the decade's end, Jazzie B, awarded an OBE, continues to lead reunion performances.
Greg Wilson, an English DJ from Merseyside, pioneered the UK dance scene. He is known for electro-funk, disco, and re-edits, holding influential residencies at Wigan Pier and The Haçienda. Wilson was the first DJ to mix live on British TV and received DJ Mag's Industry Icon Award. His "Credit To The Edit" compilations are celebrated, and he has remixed artists like Grace Jones and The XX. He also authored "Discotheque Archives".
Craig Charles, born in Liverpool, England, is a versatile actor, comedian, and DJ. He is widely known for his roles as Dave Lister in Red Dwarf and Lloyd Mullaney in Coronation Street, and for presenting Robot Wars. As a DJ, he champions funk and soul music, hosting The Craig Charles Funk and Soul Show on BBC Radio 6 Music and performing live DJ sets. He won a national poetry award at 12 and his radio show earned a Gold Aria award.
