LineUp

Born in Mississippi, John Primer moved to Chicago in 1963, fulfilling his dream to perform with Muddy Waters. He started at Maxwell Street and Theresa's Lounge, played with Junior Wells, and toured with Willie Dixon. Later, he became Muddy Waters' bandleader. After Muddy's passing, he joined Magic Slim for 13 years. An Atlantic Records signee, Primer now tours with his Real Deal Blues Band. A Blues Hall of Famer with 3 Grammy nominations, he has received numerous awards, including 3 Lifetime Achievement Awards and 5 Blues Music Awards.
Marcia Ball, born in Orange, TX, and raised in Vinton, LA, blends East Texas blues with Louisiana swamp rock. Known for tracks like "Soulful Dress," she achieved fame through energetic shows and collaborations with Angela Strehli and Irma Thomas. Ball’s albums, such as "Sing It!" and "Presumed Innocent," have earned critical acclaim and award nominations, including Grammy and W.C. Handy nods. Active since the '70s, she frequently collaborates with artists like Delbert McClinton and is signed with Alligator Records.
Austin's Bob Schneider, ex-frontman of The Ugly Americans, blends folk, rock, funk, and more. A 59-time Austin Music Awards winner, he's lauded for hits like "Lonelyland."
Swamp Dogg, born Jerry Williams, crafted his genre-defying style in the '70s post-LSD trip. Known for edgy themes in soul and funk, he co-founded World Class Wreckin' Cru, nurturing Dr. Dre. This "original D-O double G" is famed for provocative songs about society and politics.
Houston-born rapper Mike Jones, known for his hit "Who is Mike Jones?", took a break due to label issues but returned strong in 2018 with "Sauce" and over 3M streams.
Formed in Texas in 1990 by Kevin McKinney, Bill Cassis, and Brian Walsh, Soulhat added Funkadelic's Barry "Frosty" Smith for a unique blend of psychedelic blues-funk. Known for "Outdebox," they later released "Good to Be Gone" and "Experiment on a Flat Plane."
