Formed in Liverpool in 1992, Space is best known for hit singles like Female of the Species and Avenging Angels, and the platinum-selling albums Spiders and Tin Planet. Featuring an eclectic queasy listening sound and dark humoured lyrics, the band collaborated with Cerys Matthews on The Ballad of Tom Jones.
