Detroit rockers Sponge gained fame in the mid-'90s with hits like "Plowed" and "Molly." Known for their blend of hard rock and alt-pop, they peaked with the gold-certified album Wax Ecstatic. Fronted by Vinnie Dombrowski, they continued releasing music, debuting in 1994 with Rotting Pinata. Despite lineup changes, their signature style and airplay endured.
