Michel'le, a Los Angeles urban contemporary singer known for her high-pitched speaking voice and powerful R&B style, rose to fame with hits like "No More Lies" in the late '80s and early '90s. A pioneer of hip-hop-influenced R&B, she collaborated with N.W.A., including Dr. Dre and Eazy-E. Her debut album was a hit, but her follow-up didn't achieve the same success.

Known for his suave funk style and collaborations with Prince, Day also had a successful solo career, highlighted by hits such as "Fishnet."
