Formed in 1980 by Porthcawl, South Wales twins Jay and Michael Aston, goth-influenced Gene Loves Jezebel moved to London in 1981. Debut album Promise topped the UK indie charts; later hits include Jealous (US #68) and Sweetest Thing.

The Alarm
