Fronted by Handsome Dick Manitoba and featuring Scott Kempner and Ross "the Boss" Funichello, they released iconic albums like "The Dictators Go Girl Crazy!" Despite mixed critical response and label issues, they influenced punk and hard rock. Members pursued solo paths, but the band reunited occasionally, notably releasing "D.F.F.D" in 2001. They're celebrated for their fusion of hard rock and punk snark.
